My background is in sculpture, where I became interested in form, proportion, and the relationship between people and materials. Over time, my work gradually led me to leather, a material that, to me, already has its own character before anything is made from it.

The marks, wrinkles, and imperfections in the leather are part of its identity. Rather than trying to hide them, I prefer to leave them as they are and let them become part of the finished piece.

I like making objects that can be used for a long time—objects that can be repaired, that change with use, and that slowly become part of someone's everyday life instead of being quickly replaced.

Each piece is simply another step in my ongoing attempt to better understand form, materials, and the passage of time.
